FAQ's (Members)

WHAT TYPE OF PEOPLE DO MFT CLASSES?

MFT classes are suited for members of all ages and abilities. Each class is specifically pioneered to promote a sense of well being and fun. Classes are generally mixed gender and age, so there is no need to feel left out.

DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO TAKE PART?

Quite simply no, the whole ethos of MFT is to provide you with unique and rewarding group fitness classes so that you can become fitter. You can start at any level and work your way through the fitness ranks.

HOW MANY CLASSES PER WEEK DO I HAVE TO DO?

As with any from of exercise, we would recommend three times per week to reap the full rewards, however, once is better than none at all and two is obviously better than once. The more you commit the fitter you will get in the shortest period of time.

HOW LONG DOES EACH CLASS LAST?

Each class generally lasts for 60 minutes, however, the running classes may vary slightly depending on the distance of the run.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

All MFT classes focus on cross training to maximise the benefits. Expect to lose body fat, increase lean muscle, increase bone density and improve self-confidence.

HOW DO I BECOME QUALIFIED WITH MFT?

First of all you will need to work under an MFT licence held by a club or facility. Secondly you need to attend an MFT course to attain the initial rank of Lance Corporal. Third on your list will be to climb through the Instructor ranks by attending further courses.

ARE MFT QUALIFICATIONS PORTABLE?

Yes, any course you have completed with MFT can be used in any other club or facility with the relevant licence. This is exceptionally useful for freelance instructors.

WHAT DO I GET TO PROVE MY STATUS AS AN MFT INSTRUCTOR?

Upon completion of your first MFT course you will be presented with your personal set of dog tags, pass certification, MFT uniform and also a pass off photo with all your course colleagues.

ONCE I DO MY COURSE IS THAT THE END OF MY TRAINING?

Upon completion of an MFT course you will have the opportunity to attend regular ongoing development workshops. You will need to attend at least two a year to keep your certification in date. These workshops will involve the latest training principles and techniques staged in a military themed day.  Look forward to the SMI's challenge at the end of the workshop!
